Ok, so I got tagged BACK by the ever dastardly 
and while I'm here I feel like doing 
's questions too. I'm not going to tag anybody this time as I struggled to find enough people in my last one, but if you want to do it, I have a set of questions in my last journal 
(I can't think of any more today, I'm crazy tired)
4. If you had the chance to meet only one celebrity in your life, who would it be and why?
J. K. Rowling, hands down. I would fangirl so hard, but I think she'd be so interesting to have a conversation with.
5. If you could change one thing in your past, what would it be and why?
I daren't change anything...Butterfly effect!
But let's say reprocussions weren't a thing....I would like to have known what I wanted to do with my life a bit earlier. It's really depressing being the last person to go to uni and knowing my life is sort of on hold until I'm 24. I mean I'm still going to enjoy myself, don't get me wrong, but I could have done with a lot less faffing about!
6. One thing you'd rid the world of if you could? (Come on, I know we all can think of something.)
Fanfiction (well, maybe just shipping). Sorry not sorry. It would make my life easier and if you get rid of something big, like say Hitler or homophobia (or Trump), something as bad or worse is going to happen anyway, so it wouldn't have made the difference. Nah, I'm using my room 101 space well!
7. What would your spirit animal be?
A horse. Proud, showy but sweet if you're good to them (lethal with the back hooves if you're not!).
8. If you could have any animal in the world to be your pet. What would it be?
Arghhh why is this so hard? Do fictional ones count, because I want a dragon. Like...Really badly (and a house trained niffler!). But if it has to be a real animal, then I'd want a wolf cub. Wolves are so beautiful (it would have to be a tame one though. Like you see these people on the internet who play with tame lions and stuff, I like my limbs where they are thanks)
9. Let's say your blood has some mystical ability to cure an infection/disease, what would it cure?
Idiocy. Definately idiocy, and yes, it's a disease. I'm sure.
10. If you could have any job in the world (Fictional or otherwise) what would you choose?
If fictional, I'd probably want to be an Assassin (AC style, it looks weirdly fun) but I'd probably be at my happiest as a witchy tailoress in Diagon Alley from Harry Potter.
My ACTUAL dream job? I can't decide between writer, costumier for somewhere really amazing like the RSC or I've been thinking of starting my own alternative bridal design business, that would be amazing.
11. Favorite place in the world?
I love London, I feel very at home in out good capital. Although there's a particular little town in Cornwall of which I have many fond memories and a few favourite tea houses.
12. You're stuck on an island. What 3 things have you brought to the island with you?
Notebooks-if I don't write, I'll go insane
Sewing kit-keep myself busy, and big sharp shears could double as self defence from wild beasties
My wolf necklace -to remind me of someone I would be missing very much...
13. (In your opinion.) What is the best game you've played to date and why?
Videogame I take it? Assassin's Creed Syndicate, hands down. It's everything I've ever wanted in a game, it's epic. I love being able to wander around Victorian London, hijacking carriages, causing trouble and getting into brawls. I love the story. I love the aesthetic. I love the gameplay. I most of all love the Frye Twins, especially Evie. Get this: a strong female character in a videogame who is not only badass, but clever, feminine, flawed but still nice and likeable, AND WEARS PROPER CLOTHES!!!!!! The VAs for the twins are also really cool, they were really sweet to the fans at comic con... and the dialogue is gold. They've got the brother/sister banter down to perfection.
God, I love this game. I'm going to go and shut up now.
Either the outskirts of London, for the writing inspiration, or in a tiny cottage in a quiet harbour town in Cornwall. To be honest, I'd happily live in Cornwall and migrate to London occasionally as it suited me xD
2. whats your favourite film and why?
This is so hard. If I really boil it down, I have two.
Labyrinth, which I love because it's very Alice in Wonderland (in fact it's basically a better Alice in Wonderland than most Alice in Wonderland films) but it's unique in its own way. I love it's aesthetic,it's characters, it's little world..And Jim Henson's puppets are bloody awesome. I love films that use practical effects. Also can we take a moment to appreciate the costumes in the masked ball scene. And most of all, David freaking Bowie, rest his soul, is in this movie. The legend.
The Crow, because not only is it the iconic goth movie, a revenge tragedy (I love revenge tragedies), and helped pave the way for characters like mine (beat up anti heroes and heroines, you have to love them) but it sort of speaks to me. I'm very weird about the whole concept of life and death and just something about this film totally captivates me, I adore it. Also, Brandon Lee in the lead role, rest his soul as well, was bloody amazing. Way too young to have died when he did. (Also my copy has his last ever interview where he talks about what the Crow means and how delicate human life is and it's both a little creepy and extremely sad, well worth a watch though)

3. If you were and animal what would you be and why?
If I actually WAS one? Ummm a cat. I sleep too much, pay much too much attention to grooming, and have a distinct lack of tolerance for being told what to do. Also claws. I have claws.

All the things! Mostly writing and dressmaking, but I dabble in all sorts from illustration to crochet and everything in between.

I'd like to be in a position where I'm not stressing and money is ok enough for my other half and I to find a home together. It sucks not being able to see each other all the time.

I'm quite a fan of that grey area in between just on the cusp of falling into evil but not quite. I'm suspicious of pure good.

I can't decide x.x Hidden Citizens are awesome (they're my Dead Night writing music), The Birthday Massacre, New Year's Day, all stuff I'm listening to recently but I can never decide on a favourite
10. Read any good books recently? if so what where they?
Reading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan at the moment which is awesome, just started Eve: The Awakening by Jenna Moreci which I haven't read much of but is looking pretty good so far, Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs was amazing, and I'm just about to re read Vampirates: Demons of the Ocean by Justin Somper which is a childhood favourite ( really recommend that one, he writes some fantastic characters)
11. if you got stuck in a TV show, what would you hope it to be?
Probably Shadowhunters, (despite that's it's a book universe gone TV) or Doctor Who, I need somewhere rich and diverse with lots to do. I could happily hang out fighting demons or travelling by TARDIS!
12. where would you like to travel?
Everywhere! Seriously I'd love to see as much of the world as possible, but most of all I'd like to go to Japan, France (properly this time), China and Italy...That's the top of my bucket list
13. if you had 3 wishes what would they be?

My darkest fear is losing someone I love. And I don't want to describe this scenario and it'll freak me out just writing it, but if you've read Harry Potter and you know what the boggart is/does, basically-Molly Weasley's boggart. *Shudders*
2. THUD! Your favorite character stumbles into your room and asks you to go with them. Who is it?
I have lots of favourite characters, but I imagine if any of them is going to drop into my room for no reason, it'll be Jacob Frye, with Evie in hot pursuit, probably up to something shady. And yes, I would like to join the Assassin's noble cause, thank you for asking!

Ohh, have you read the Percy Jackson novels by Rick Riordan yet? They're my new obsession. Also Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs is amazing.

Nostalgia in the Apocalypse
Hello there, dA! Long time an no see, huh? I'm not sure why I'm writing this exactly, because I can't say with any certainty that I'm coming back, but every so often, I do log back in to lurk. I was talking about this site a while ago with a friend, and got a bit of a nostalgia hit because I used to have a lot of great and encouraging friends here, and it's been a long time, so I figured a brief trip down memory lane, at least, wouldn't hurt. I know I left kind of without warning. Essentially, I found dA a little hard to keep on top of for a while (entirely my own fault, though I did enjoy all of the long conversations I had with some of you :heart: ) and when I came back, everything had changed and a lot of people had gone, so I kind of drifted away too. To be honest, I joined the rest of humanity and got normal social media. I know some of you follow my insta where I'm most active and I appreciate that a lot :heart: I also did the Facebook thing for a while, but nowadays I'm
Where has everyone gone?!
So I know I'm nowhere near as active as I used to be. That's largely the fault of University and theatre and basically all of the extra stuff I'm trying to do to kickstart my career and build my portfolio, I hope you understand. I've been involved with like four shows this year, it's mad stuff.
I've been on this site for like 8 years. I was here when I wrote terrible fanfiction and drew loads of art for a webcomic that never made it past chapter one. I'm never going to properly leave.
See the other reason I don't come back that much is that it's gone really dead here. You noticed too right? I'm dropping back in mostly for about five people
A brief break and things to come!
Hello old friends and followers!
I'm able to check in again and see how everything is going here on dA! As you may have seen in my status post, I handed in my first module of my degree on Monday. I'm proud of the final product, I did my best and I got some good feedback, so even though I'm a little conflicted about certain elements of it, I remain hopeful that it'll get me a decent grade. I've certainly learned a lot, and I suppose that is what matters!
Now, with this over with and me on a break before the next module brief (well, mainly, I still have a report and an illustration portfolio to get on with but it's a bit more chill than tirel

So, I think I have worn out the 'sorry for my absence' excuses.
However, I'm going to give this another shot, for a lot of reasons. I'm going to try to come back to dA.
I think it's changed since the last time I was here, it doesn't seem so big. People are gradually moving to Instagram, Patreon etc...and I must admit I'm guilty of it myself.
But I missed our little community, my friends, long talks in the comment section about life and art and fiction, and mostly, I missed your art!
So many new stories and styles and directions since I've been gone! You've all been very busy!
However, I'll explain why I had to go, and what's changed.
